Meet the shepherdess
Hi! I am Stefani Spencer, the Gypsy Shepherdess.
My mother’s side of the family were Romany from Hungary – I have always felt very connected to the gypsy side of my heritage. I feel most at home out in nature.
I didn’t know I was a shepherdess at heart until I purchased my first four sheep in 2016. But that is not where my story begins….
It all started with a spinning wheel.
I had been knitting for quite a few years when I developed an interest in spinning my own yarn. My husband bought me a spinning wheel for my birthday and that began my journey into wool, sheep and art.
We share our life with two rare breeds of sheep – Black Welsh Mountain and Clun Forest. With a strong interest in rare breed conservation, we also have Karakachan livestock guardian dogs.
At some point, I expanded out into needle felting, wet felting and peg loom weaving. I touch fiber ever single day in some form.

Fiber Art
Hands, heart, and home
Every piece begins with a love of honest materials, quiet rituals, and the beauty found in everyday making.
From textured fiber art to useful home goods I create objects with warmth, character, and a story worth keeping.
Apothecary
Rooted in nature
My first career was a professional wildlife biologist with an emphasis on waterbirds and their wetland habitats. After buying our farm, my focus shifted to native plants and herbology. My apothecary goods are inspired by forest paths, sun-warmed herbs, and the gentle care of daily rituals. They are rooted in intention, incorporating color, herbs, and intent into useful all natural products.
I choose intention-led details and small-batch processes so each offering feels personal, grounding, and ready to be part of your home.
